Once you have grainy video - in this case because of insufficient light, it is virtually impossible to fix the problem without causing issues such as colour shift and blur.  The grain is probably camera noise - all digital cameras/videocams have this, the amount depends on the sensor type and quality.

Depending on the type of video you are making, can you use the grainy clips 'artistically'

Thanks for the response. With regards to using the grainy footage "artistically", do you have suggestions say, video techniques? I tried blurring some of the grainy videos to create the illusion of depth of field but thats just about it.
