GoPro videos are only audio and black video coming in to Movie Studio

My GoPro Hero 9 videos are all coming in black with no video but audio is fine when I pull them in to Movie Studio for editing. I've converted them to a number of different formats with no luck. Not sure if I'm missing a CODEC or what is going on. I can view them straight through other programs, just not Movie Studio 2022.

@Cody-Aldinger

Hi

This is a common problem with GoPro videos - in the Program settings, Device options set the Import option to CPU and see if this works.

If not then you may need to install Quicktime for Windows, however do be aware that this is an old version, and may not support some modern codecs. Apple stopped supporting Quicktime for Windows many years ago.

If neither of the above work we need more information:

Computer specification, Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) your are working with.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

Are the graphics card drivers up to date?

Download and install MediaInfo and analyse one of the clips and post the results, see this tutorial on how to setup MediaInfo and analyse a video clip for all the data required.
