Gopro HD Hero 2/magix pro 15 plus exporting help.

Hi I have a Gopro HD Hero 2 and I wanna edit mountain biking videos. My footage goes onto magix fine, but I can't seem to export it without it taking an hour or longer, and without it coming out so unclear that its not even video anymore, just a bunch of pictures... My operating system is Windows XP. PLEASe HEEELLPPP I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR ALMOST HALF A YEAR!

We need more information...

What is the resolution of your imported video. GoPro web page says it can deliver 1080p full HD quality which should give outstanding results -- if you export at the same resolution. If you are exporting for a mobile phone you can't expect 320x240 to be anywhere good as 1920x1080! Also what is your final product eg standard DVD BluRay or just for viewing on a computer or media player? MEP offers lots of export formats, each with its own use.

The time taken for an export depends on the file format and the 'quality' settings and, perhaps even more so, on the complexity of your editing. A movie with lots of fancy transitions and effects can easily take many many times more than the running time of the project.

As quality is an issue ('...so unclear...') you need to check the settings under the 'Advanced...' button of the export window. The defaults for MPEG-2 are usually OK for DVDs, but many users always bump the 'quality' slider up to 15. Your description of it being 'just a bunch of pictures' sounds like you have exported as a series of stills -- a useful option perhaps only if you are doing some fancy post processing.

Uhh well, The gopro footage is set as 960p setting at 48 frames per second. And the Video didnt have many transitions or anything, just a song in the background. And it was 2 videos edited together. I tried the same thing over and over again, and I changed the export settings but they seem to always come out in terrible quality and isn't really even a video anymore.... it's just a bunch of glitchy pictures going by. Not sure how to explain this better. Oh and I just want them to be able to be watched on youtube and on my computer in general in good quality.

And also when I put the footage into magix pro 15 plus, everything works fine. I convert my gopro footage into the proper file before putting it onto magix.
