Getting green and pixilated area when exporting every time

wildcatwick wrote on 2/22/2013, 6:01 PM

O.K.  Im getting a green and pixilated area in only one spot everytime I export.  I decided to go ahead and even swap out the video clip for another but lo and behold it still happens.  I checked to see if there was anything in the tracks below it that could cause the issue but I see nothing.  I need help.  I can't finish the project because of it.

Hi

What are the video formats you have on the timeline?

Is the clip that is pixellating of a different format to the rest?

Does the pixellating clip play OK in the preview window.

With MEP closed look in the folder containingthe vdeocip - you will find one or two more files with the same name as the video clip but with the file extensions .HDP or .H0 - delete them. Then restart MEP and try the export again.

The formats are all AVI.

The clip is the same format as the others.

The clip plays fine in the preview pane.

I did as you suggested and there was no change.

Here is a picture of how it looks in preview and how it looks when watching export.  Again I've tried using different videos in the same position with no luck.

Hi

Can you use GSpot to analyse the clip showing the problem.

AVI is a container file format and can contain any video codec inside it.

When you have analysed the clip, use the buttons 1, 2 and 3, in the lower left of the GSpot window, under MS/AV to see if they can be analysed, rendered and played.  Post the results back here.

The image you have posted of the 'pixellation' looks like a loss of synchronisation of the video in this clip.

If the tests above are OK then try the following:

    1.   Start a new project and save it.

    2.   Select File, Open and select the project with the problem and click OK - when asked if you want to close the current project click Add new project.

    3.   You will now have two movie tabs, the current movie will be the imported project with the problem.

    4.   Select all the objects on the timeline (Ctrl + A) and copy them (Ctrl + C).

    5.   Select the other movie tab - this will switch you to the empty timeline and paste the copied objects (Ctrl + V).

    6.   Switch back to the imported project at the right of the tabs you will see a down arrow button, click this and select Remove movie from project, confirm you want to do this.

    7.   Save the now copied project and try the export again.

The above appears long winded but is very quick.

Thanks John.  Here is the Gspot result....I think it looks fine but I don't really know if it is let me know and I will proceed with your recomendation.

Thanks,

David

**EDIT**  Well, I don't know why my screen shot is not showing up.  I went ahead and did what you recommended and it did not work.

John, I have now replaced the clip section with a still photo versus another video(which I've tried tons of) and guesee what?  No green bar on that section it has now moved to the next video clip in the project.  Awesome!  Losing hope.  I have a ton of time in this and everything is edited to music so it would be a bear to redo.....any other ideas?

Thanks,

David

Hi David

It sounds like the project is corrupt somehow.

A longshot - try doing a program reset File, Settings, Reset program settings to default.

Failing this,I think a new start is the only option.

Re: picture upload - I too am having problems uploading images - Magix are investigating it.
