When attempting to open a saved project, I keep getting "only 64 tracks supported"  I have tried starting a new project with number of tracks set at 99 tracks, but when I try to open my saved project, I get the same error message, and the user interface opens with no tracks displayed.  Help!!!

Hi.

I recently encountered the same message in a VPX project.  Unfortunately I can't remember exactly how I resolved it (blame old age and increasing forgetfulness!!) but I think it's caused by a possibly-corrupted project file.  I think what I did to save the situation was to open a back-up copy of the project file (starting with the most recent) and check whether the message was still there; if it was I then tried the next oldest, and so on.  Eventually I found a version which did not have the problem (it was about 30 minutes "old", I seem to remember, but I do have MEP/VPX create a BAK (backup) file every 15 minutes at least.)  Once successfully opened and useable, I resaved the project as an mvp under a new name.

Hopefully, you will also find this method works for you.  If, however, you have no BAK files available I fear you may have to resort to rebuilding the project from scratch.

Jeff

Thanks, Jeff.  That did the trick.  I was missing the very last item that I had added, but all other material was there.
