Getting error 401 error in Microsoft Edge

Web Designer Premium 12 - using Windows 10. I have a link from my nav bar that goes to a password-protected login page on a sub-domain where the user enters an assigned username/password. Chrome and Avast browsers have no problem with it but Edge gives a 401 error every time. We are a membership organization and Edge users are unhappy. Any ideas?

Hi

. . . . Chrome and Avast browsers have no problem with it but Edge gives a 401 error every time . . .

This has been an issue with Edge - a 401 error means that the requested resource is restricted and requires authentication, which is what you require, however Edge has failed to produce the login box or provide the authentication correctly once the username and password has been entered.

Using an InPrivate window has been known to fix this.

Can you post or PM a link to the website please.
