Freezes shortly after opening

I run a PC with windows 10 and have used Photostory Deluxe for many years, and upgraded to the latest version about a year ago. Recently, when I open the program it gets as far as the main screen then freezes. It is completely unresponsive and I have to open task manager to close the program. Any suggestions?

Hi

Check that your Antivirus is not blocking the program from accessing the folders it requires or the Internet by temporarily disabling the AV features - Ransomware protection, Folder protection and Real time scan, depending on your AV you may have any combination of these.

I have still not resolved this issue and Photostory is not usable. If I open Task manage and watch the Memory % when I open photostory then the Memory usage increases to over 90% then Photostory becomes VERY VERY slow then stops. ANy idea whats going on?
