Freeze frame & Red Circle

Lets say I edit a basketball game and the moment something happened lets say contact between two players I want to freeze it for 2-3 secs and then, have those red circle around the action for 2-3 secs and then let the video continue as usual, how u do that?

For the freeze frame, position the timeline marker where you want the freeze the video, right click and select Insert still image at ......

Adjust the length of the inserted image and close up any gap created.

For the red circle this is positioned as shown below.

and looks like this when played

did u import the red circle from the web ? or its located in the program where I can mix up the size of the circle?

@DRORENGEL Hi, either create a png red circle in a photo editor as @johnebaker I believe has done, there's other ways with red solids & masks..

Or 'located in the program', -

Right click - Insert Still Image at the Playback Marker.
Adjust length of still image if needed.
Click on the still image, press & hold the Ctrl key on the keyboard & drag the image down, this will duplicate the image.
Click on the duplicated image so it turns yellow.
Add Cookie Cutter to the duplicated image.
Choose Circle & adjust size, colour, position etc.

Sorry, a bit late to this party however, if you have NewBlue Magnifying Glass on your system this works well - just reduce the magnifying effect to zero or whatever.
