I've used ACL in several formats for years and have been appraising the latest version. However the lack of forward or rewind buttons renders it almost usless. Is there something I've missed or do you only get these features in the purchased version.

I presume that you mean 2016 and not 16.
I have mentioned several times on this forum that an upgrade from ACL2013 and previous versions to ACL2014 or ACL2016 is likely a downgrade. The removal of some buttons was also discussed and Magix said that they did this to simplify the user interface. I had never used FF or rewind myself, I have always dragged the playback.
If you want an upgrade, try Audio & Music Lab2016. The eFX Essential tools are a very good addition. But, I can't recommend ACL.
Thanks John as you say the program does not appear to be an improvement. I have discovered that one needs to click above the posotion you want to move to. Not overly impressed so far with ACL 2016.
