Formatting Tables

I am new to Web Designer 15 having come from Serif Web Plus 8. I am trying to duplicate my previous SW8 site and am learning how Web Designer does things. One thing has me baffled (at the moment) - how do you format a table so that you can choose which of the table lines show? I don't want the whole grid as I want to group some cells together. Any advice welcomed and thanks for looking.

@Alan-Willison

Hi

. . . . I don't want the whole grid as I want to group some cells together . . .

After a lot of testing and searching the Internet, in particular the Talk Graphics forum, it would appear this cannot be done other than by editing the final exported HTML page using a text editor such as Notepad++ - this displays the HTML correctly indented and coloured for ease of use.
