Force title to a chosen track?

terrypin wrote on 5/22/2013, 2:06 AM

Does anyone know if there's a way to force a new title object to be placed in a specific track please?

In this example, I'd like to add a title for every object in track 1, but I want them all to go into the first completely free track (in this case track 12).

Hi Terry

No idea  -  it looks like the first available track that has available space is used and this includes locked tracks!!

Hi Terry,

after a new title has been added and it appears in track one, klick on the "ungroup icon" and drag the title to the track you want it to in, then klick the "group icon" to reconnect your title to the scene making sure that your title is lined up properly before klicking the "group icon".

Hope this helps; Horst.

Thanks Horst, but I was asking about automatic placement.

BTW: "after a new title has been added and it appears in track one"

I'm guessing you meant track three? But anyway that's only if it's available. The rule appears to be that the title gets added into the next available track.

Yes Terry you are correct the title will appear in track 3 or the next available track.
