Hi

Export as mpg to give you a standard video format for conversion.

If you do not have one there are many freeware converters available on the Internet of variable quality - the most popular one here is a program called Super available here http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

Hi,

Normally you can generate a mpeg or avi file and use a software converter to transform your file to FLV format .

Search on Google a flv converter, try it before to buy because free or try version have embeded text or logo.

I believe you can doe this with Movie Edit Pro 17... I have the Plus version, so I am not sure if this is in the standard edition too.

You would have the video loaded for export, then go to the drop down menu 'File', choose the 'Export Movie' then export 'Video as MPEG-4...'

This will open the MPEG-4 export dialog, in there you can change the presets, and in the presets are a few Flash formats you can use.

I hope that this helps...

Hi John

There is no option to create the FLV files as the original poster requires, and me too, as far as I can see it compresses the video using the same codecs as Flash player requires but does not put it in a FLV container file.

Changing the file extension to FLV either before or after export does not work as the file headers still say it is a mp4 format.

Until Magix include FLV as an export format  I think we are stuck with converting externally.

Hi,

The only way is to create any file format like mp4 or avi or mpeg and use a converter. One i use in the past was MOVAVI software (low price I think $19) also NCH software search on the web you can fiound many software to convert your file.

Thanks everyone! John Auvil, you're right, there is a flash-export. Nice!

Oh, now I see your second post, John E Baker. Well, I guess I'll have to settle with mp4 and then flash.
