Fixing "please install the following codec to decode the format 'CFHD'." error...

I am trying to add my GO Pro videos to a new project and I keep getting an error during the copy, and in the details it says "please install the following codec to decode the format 'CFHD'."

How do I go about doing that?

I've only started using Movie Edit Pro 2015 Plus today, so I'm a bit of a novice.

I do have GO Pro Studio installed on my machine and it is able to playback the video in that software.

Hi

This may be a GoPro Studio issue - are you using the studio software to download the video from the GoPro?

If so then it may be automatically converting the mp4 to CFHD see this article.

There should be no need to convert the video files or use the Studio software to copy the originals to your computer - when connected to the computer the GoPro will appear as another drive in Windows Explorer and you can copy direct from the camera.
