In the transport console next to the rec button is the record settings button. there you can choose mono record

@Susan-Skelly

. . . . I recorded a track and sadly it is only on the left channel . . . .

To convert the existing audio object:

  1. right click it and select Object effects (keyboard shortcut E)

  2. in the Inspector pane select Stereo processor

  3. from the Presets select Both = left

  4. You can then use the Pan control to set the stage position.

Actually that didn't work. In my inspector I see no stereo processor

@Susan-Skelly

Is the specific track selected on the workscreen? You need to do this before using the Inspector.

If it is still not shown, exactly which version and variant of MM do you have?

Music Maker 64 bit latest update. I did select that track and I get no options for stereo processor. If I have to record it again, I'm not sure how to avoid the same mistake but that could be in my scarlett interface?

Susan-Skelly wrote on 9/17/2020, 1:08 PM

Version: 19.01.47

emmrecs wrote on 9/18/2020, 4:50 AM

@Susan-Skelly

The latest version of MM, and the first one to be 64 bit, is 29.0.3.19 so your version number, if correct, is neither the latest nor 64 bit!!

So, can we clarify that first?

Then, please tell us which variant you have, Free, Plus or Premium.

Hi

. . . . Actually that didn't work. In my inspector I see no stereo processor . . . .

In which case you need to click the + button at the bottom of the Inspector pane to get to the Stereo Processor as shown in the image below

Please confirm the version number and variant as requested by @emmrecs. Ideally put the information in your Signature along with your computer specification.

Ever since I purchased the “latest version” it’s been like this and it’s acting like the free version. I’m away from the computer now but need to check what’s on there. I had to reinstall all loops and my projects vanished (I backed them up so that’s OK) but this just isn’t showing the features it should. I’ll look into it at home.

Susan-Skelly wrote on 9/19/2020, 2:22 PM

I even reinstalled it. The version is 29.03.19 I'm on a PC.

I don't have the options you show. Not even when I click the +.

I ended up converting it using the "convert stereo into two mono tracks. This gave me one mono track and one track with nothing on it. They were inseparable so I duplicated both and panned one a bit to the right and one a bit to the left but now have used up two extra tracks and its bothering me that I don't have a stereo processor as an option.

@Susan-Skelly

I'm glad you have been able to resolve your problem, via a rather "clunky" method, but you have still not told us which variant of MM you have, Free, Plus or Premium. I have a suspicion that, if you are using either Plus or Premium, you have not actually downloaded and installed ALL the additional content these versions include.

Doing this sorted my problems out when MM updated
