Finding Soundpool purchases

Susan-Skelly wrote on 3/31/2020, 12:37 PM

I have Magix installed in both a lap top and desktop. I am new and have credits for purchasing the soundpools and such that I want (brilliant!) But if I get something on the downstairs computer, I have a little number on the upstairs computer letting me know that there are new purchases. GREAT. Where are they? I get ads for everything, I click on "Show opnly purchased" no change. What am I missing or doing wrong?

@Susan-Skelly

Hi

Once you have used credits to acquire Soundpools on one computer, when you open the Music Maker and open the Store on the second computer you may see those same soundpools waiting in the Downloads tab as shown below

Note: on the second computer you may have to log out of the Store and then back in again using the button next to your email address top right of the program screen.

That worked for pretty much everything but I still have a couple of sound pools in the lap top that aren't on the desk top. I can't find them in the store and there is nothing in the downloads tab. They are nice, ambient soundpools. I'm working much more on the desk top and would like to have them there. Can I download onto an external hard drive? 😕

Hey I do not mean to hijack this topic but maybe it is similar to my situation. I recently had some coupons from the Humble CoVID 19 bundle form humblebundle.com. I used the $10 coupons on Producer Planet to get a Soundpool, I even downloaded it and stuck it in the folder on my PC that has all of my soundpools in it.

The soundpool isn't showing up in the store in music maker, that's ok, maybe it is special or something, nut it is also not in my soundpool library to use in Music Maker.

Maybe this is similar to what Susan-Skelly is dealing with.

I am not sure whether your problem is the same as that being experienced by @Susan-Skelly but you say you stuck it in the folder on my PC...  I'm pretty certain that is where you went wrong, if you literally did what you have written!

Soundpools, instruments etc. in MM must be installed. I assume your downloaded file should be the actual installer, so have you tried double-clicking on it, as you would to install a normal "program"? If you have, what happened?

As I pointed out in the other thread, you put downloaded, unzipped Soundpools in:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

or wherever you defined as the default.

Then, you have to actually Add the Soundpools in Music Maker by clicking on the gear when you are in the Loops tab. Since they were not purchased through the Store within the program, they will not show up in the Store; they will show up under Loops once you add them.

Purchasing through the in-program Store is not the same as purchasing through Producer Planet.

FYI I have found all of my soundpools. The only one missing now is the one that initially came with the download and is in my lap top but not the desk top. I never liked it much anyway so I'm OK.
