Finding duplicates and delete them permanently. How to?

I am unable to find duplicates in my photo library and delete them in photo manager. I have to search for similar images by searching for each image. Can i not find all duplicates and remove them?

I am aware of the method to search by each individual image. I am looking for a way to identify and delete all duplicates. I have 250K images and want to find duplicates in them.

Hi

. . . . I am looking for a way to identify and delete all duplicates. . . . 250K images . . . .

Unfortunately there is no easy solution for this as you have found. The PhotoManager search feature is not sophisticated enough identify exact duplicates.

Ultimately you are going to have to visually compare any 'duplicate' or similar images found to verify that they are indeed duplicates before deleting them, this should never be left to software to do this.

How are the image files organised - are they in folders by date, location, event, etc?

What is the naming convention?

Do they all have EXIF data available?
