Finding a serial number and other

Hello, I'm having trouble registering my product "Vegas Movie Studio Suite" from Best Buy. I have been trying to put in the serial number of the product, I've tried the key card it has in the box, and other things I would think would be the serial number but none of them work. I'm also wondering if this product is discontinued or is no longer available and if it is can I have money back or something because I went to the store where I got it and they said I had to contact Magix to ask about the code and how to return the product because they can't do anything because it's a software.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Vegas Movie Studio is, indeed, a discontinued product! The last version to be released was version 17 (which version is yours?) and it has now become Magix Movie Studio, currently version 18.

Because of this, if you wish to return the product for a refund, this is entirely the responsibility of BestBuy. Magix cannot and will not refund you because you have not paid them.

Similarly, if there is a problem with the supplied serial number that is also the responsibility of BestBuy to resolve. Magix will have no record of your purchase so cannot offer any help, sorry.

However, if you wish to continue to try and get your purchased software working there is a dedicated user to user forum for the Vegas product range, here.
