I thought I had all the settings right - NTSC. But my disc in certain machines gave the message - "Not NTSC" and wouldn't play.Finally after clicking around a bit I stumbled on this: Burn/Burn disc for DVD player\Encoder settings/Advanced.

The MPEG type - DVD and Video format - PAL. I changed this PAL to NTSC and burned the disc. Now my master is perfect and I'm happy.

But just one more small problem - I still can't find the way to get the ISO image even though I saw the screenshot of how to do it. I may have to get the new Magix program to access that function. I'll get the new version in a few day so as to start the new year right. 

.Thanks for all the help. Now after clicking a lot of Magix buttons and doing some reading in the manual, the program is finally making some sense.
