Files won't save - saying 'there is no license to use this software'

Hi, would love some help. Sound Forge 13 won't let me save files. It comes up with an error message saying 'there is no license to use this software', but i have been using the program with no problems for 2 years.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have some fantastic edits that I don't want to lose.

Thanks :)

hi @Rochelle-H! you'll need to do a couple of things: 1) when you get that error, you can still save your edits by saving the track as a Sound Forge Project File (.frg)...this way you won't lose your work. 2) after you've done that, you should do a clean uninstall/reinstall of SF. When you've reinstalled, you should be good to go...and you can recall your work from before by loading that .frg (project file) again, then save as .wav or whichever file type you like. if you get an error message after that, then you'll need to submit a support ticket and they'll get you up and running. i hope that helps!

no worries, @Rochelle-H! i remember this problem some years ago, and it ended up having something to do with the copy protection they were using at the time. this workaround should help you.
