Files don't re-appear when re-open Sound Forge

Hi, I've just moved to Win 10 from Win 7 and have bought Sound Forge Audio Studio 14.

For many years I have enjoyed using Sound Forge 7.0 in Win 7 and if I had files open (and saved) when I closed the application, when I re-opened it, they would still be there. In SF 14, when I do this, they're gone and I have to open them up again which is not the end of the world but a bit of a pain. I imagine this must be a simple option somewhere but I cannot find it (have searched through all the help) so would be grateful if someone can enlighten me please.

Sorry, I am not very familiar with (Audio Studio) but last used files open with Pro 14. I suspect AS should do the same. I do recall other posts on the issue so it may likely is just a setting. You could try resetting SF back to the factory default .
In SF Pro it is: (File> Reset All preferences and cached data).. Again, I am not sure about AS. Maybe contact tech support if no one else comments, ask Magix tech support https:// btw @flingel welcome to the Magix Sound Forge forum

Addendum: I am not sure, but confirm "Hide new temporary files" is disabled .. and/or enable "Open default workspace on startup" (In SF Pro both these items are in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu). AS.. ?

Thanks for your comment. I did try re-setting and disabling Hide new temporary files (although confess wasn't too sure how that would help!) but no change. It's also just got me to update for the second time in a few days, so I did (now on Build 75) but still the same. I appreciate Audio Studio isn't SF Pro but for £50 I find it hard to believe they wouldn't include an option for this - particularly when this was the default in the original Sound Forge... ah the good old days 😕

Try 'Uninstall> Clean registry> Reinstall'.

How would I clean the registry? And it seems to me that every time I do the update they want me to - 384Mb download - it's doing a clean reinstall each time.

Lots of system cleaner apps around like CCleaner for instance. When uninstalling software though, the absolute best way is to use a third-party uninstaller application that can remove the specific leftover registry entries, folders and other obsolete data the OS uninstall leaves behind, which is in many causes a malfunction to reoccur. I would recommend Revo Uninstall. Both the freeware and pro version work well and are highly regarded by many.

Thanks rraud but I think I'll leave cleaning the registry. Even though I would make a back up of course, my general experience tells me this would not help. I think I'll contact Support as no-one else has answered but thanks for your advice anyway.
