@Windows-User4576

Hello, welcome

Have you tried opening the program by right clicking "Run as administrator"

You could also uninstall Sound forge using free Revo uninstaller which removes any remnants from the registry as well, and re-install again.

Yes, the infamous 'Elevated Privilege' issue could be causing it, which is common on 'some' Win 10 PCs with Sound Forge 10

If this is the case, there are two routes you can follow; one is a registry tweak, the other is easier and safer, but will add a "Run as Administrator" pop-up dialog each time SF is launched.
The registry tweak does not cause any 'run as administrator' pop-ups or drag and drop issues, but may need to be done again at some point.

>>> If you do not want to fock with the registry, (dangerous), you can run SF as an administrator which will allow it to launch:
Right-click the Sound Forge 10 <.exe> launcher (or shortcut), choose Properties> select the 'Compatibility' tab, under 'Privilege level' and check-mark "Run this program as an Administrator".
 See this thread for the registry tweak instructions:
https://www.magix.info/us/forum/program-will-not-open-unless-it-is-run-as-administrator--1207220/#ca1396227

btw, the registry tweak may not permanently fix the issue which will probably return at some point necessitating the reg tweak again The 'run as administrator' is permanent though, but you will have to live with the 'run-as-administrator' pop-up on launch.
