Fading at Edges

Dear friends,

Can anyone guide me how to have a fade-out-on-edges effects on my  video.  I know perhaps I have to use the Load Masks but how do I do that. To be honest I have some text and with the fade-out-at-the-edges effect, I want the text to be more clear.

For reference I have attached a picture also (However that is for my video)

Wil be glad if you kindly help me out.
Thanks.

Is this the effect you want to create on a video?  Please know that this is a photo effect which is very easy to create and if you apply it to something that is moving, the same mask will remain in place while the video moves within it.  It will almost look like you have created a background that surrounds the video.  Is that what you are looking to do, or is it something more dynamic?  Could you post a short clip of what you are trying to get this effect with either here or on YouTube?  It could just help you get the answer you are really looking for instead of a bunch of ideas on how to create the same mask shown in the photograph.

My first thought was that I could easily create the mask in your photograph, you could insert it in your video as a background and you would be done.  But before doing that, it is better to understand what you really want to do.

No one ever said video was easy, but it is always challenging and fun when we push ourselves to the limit.
