Exporting Videos

MattJvV wrote on 10/30/2022, 4:23 AM

I have downloaded and Installed Movie Studio 23, and have done a few videos without any issues. Now all of a sudden, I cannot export the movies, I even broke the video up in 3 parts, but the last two parts do not want to export, nor does it give me a error code. Just says I need to try a different format, which I have, but with no success.

@MattJvV

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Are you testing the trial version or fully purchased, activated and all Extra Content installed ?

What format are you trying to export to?

. . . . I even broke the video up in 3 parts . . . .

How did you do this eg copied the split parts to another timeline in the same project or what?

Other information that may help:

  • Computer specification, Windows version and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full, and also what monitor/screen resolution(s) your are working with if this is a laptop.

I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.
  • Are the graphics card drivers up to date?
  • A screen shot of the Program settings, Device options tab.
  • The amount of free space on the hard/SSD drive(s) you have.
  • Export preset your are using and did you make any changes to it?

Try he following to see if there is any data in the log files as to why the export failed:

In the folder C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Videodeluxexx_version

where Username = your logon name, xx = 2 digit number and version is Plus, Premium (Suite?)

Note this folder is a hidden folder so you may not see it, in which case type %appdata%\Magix into the Windows File Explorer address bar as shown below and select the Videodeluxexx_version folder

Delete the Videodeluxe.log file

Start Movie Studio (MMS) and repeat the exports, as soon as you get the message close MMS.

Open the log file with any text editor, eg Notepad, and look for any lines which indicate an export error - copy those lines and post in a reply.
