Exporting files

Is there any other way of stopping a file export other than using the task manager to rudely shut the program down..?? I've tried everything from the ESCAPE key to Ctrl c with no luck..

HELP !!!!

The Esc key works in MEP MX and 17 for me - you only press it once if you press it twice, or any multiple of 2, in quick succession, then you cancel the abort dialog box and it appears as though the cancel is not working.
