export individual layers - workflow suggestion for sound design

I bought spectral layers pro in the recent bundle with SF and Samp and am particularly interested in it for sound design. One function that would help a great deal is if we could export each layer as a separate wav - firstly as a bulk operation in the save menu but also for individual layers using an additional function added to the right click on the layer itself.

Should such function export according to the project timeline (including silences before and after each layer to match the timings), or should it export just from the start to the end or each layer, regardless of the overall timing ?

Thanks for responding - At the moment a layer is the length of the project as far as I can tell and I would be happy with being able to export that - like a stem for mixing so that layers can be lined up and individually processed . However it would also be nice to "export selection". Is this what you mean? (Note: when I want to get a single layer as a wav I am solo-ing it and then hitting export, this gives a project length layer. This is why I understand layers as being the length of the project)

NOTE - I see than I can transfer to SoundForge Pro - which covers export selection just fine. Great! Export layers as stems would still be very handy
