Hi,

Check the export type if a picture that you export the extension file must be jpg, bmp or png. If you export a video the extension is in your case mov.

@eyefull

I can confirm this behaviour, running VPX 16.0.1.242, i.e the latet version. Choosing the default codec allows the export to proceed as normal so it appears that .mov export does not "like" the H264 codec. I really have no idea why!

If you are running an up to date version of VPX I suggest you raise a Support Ticket about this here.

@eyefull

Hi

Is there a reason why you need to export as MOV file format?

Quicktime is no longer supported by Apple on PC's,

The h.264 in a QT container was buggy and unreliable, and, AFAICS, Apple are not doing any further development on QT for PC, it was dropped over 2 years ago.

I have also seen references that suggest h.264 support may have been been dropped in QT altogether.

Added: the same issue arises with MEP and Vegas Pro has no option, AFAICS, to export MOV with h.264 .

For h.264 codec support, the mp4 file format is more universally accepted and is the go to format to use for maximum playback capability on a wide range of devices.
