Exception error messages

Win 10 Dell XPS. I bought the download SF 14 Audio Studio package a couple of weeks ago to use with Movie Studio 17 Suite that I downloaded in May. It has started crashing shortly after the loading screen appears, saying that there is an unmanaged exception error 0xc 0000005 I have tried all of the usual stuff - uninstall, reinstall, run as administrator etc. I see that it's not an uncommon problem with Magix products. Is anyone aware of a solution? I want my money back!

Is there a USB or other audio device on the PC? Otherwise updating the Realtec audio device 'may' help assuming it has that like other Dell XPS PCs.

Uninstalling SF with a third-party uninstaller (like Revo uninstall) then re-installing has worked on a few Win 7 PCs with the 0xc 0000005 error. Of course be sure to deactivate anti-virus apps and such when installing

Thanks for your reply. I have a Focusrite Scarlett which is the interface for my Rode mic. I never had a problem with this before, when using SF 10 (which stopped working as well when I got my new Dell a couple of months ago. It works on my XPS 13 laptop which is 4y old though). Win 10 has also started behaving strangely with Start+X no longer working, and no right click function available on the Start button. Reminds me of being back in the 90s and spending hours sorting out Windows bugs. I don't want to do this now. Should have bought an iMac I guess.

A lot of people, such as myself, are running AS14 on Win 10 PCs without issue. It doesn't sound like you really want help with your technical problem, though.

VP-16 runs w/o issue on my Dell XPS 15 9550 but I do not have a Focusrite interface. There have been other reports of issues the Scarlett with SF and VP.

FWIW @Jeremy-Latham, some Win 10 updates are known to cause problems with Sound Forge-10. I have need to do the 'Elevated Privileges registry tweak' more than a few times on my XPS 15 laptop to run SF Pro10. The Magix versions or SF do not have this issue

You are clearly very fortunate then. Do you have a solution to my problem? I'd be very grateful if you were to share it with me.
