Hi!

I try to batch normalize sound from several video. I see a tuto on youtube that said that it's possible to do it with batch converter from sound forge pro 14 ! yeah! but...

Everytime I try to do that, I've this error : "open failed : object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I don't know why... I see on another post a thing to do with .net framework but it didn't solve my problem...

I also try to :

  • save the output file on another folder
  • with another name
  • open the program with admin right
  • open by folder
  • open by files

nothing work... help!

Thanks ^^

Do the files open in SF otherwise. Can you post one of problem file's MediaInfo data? or a file itself in Drop Box, Google Drive or other cloud file sharing site.

btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users forum @GraphiPerso.

It's true that I didn't have the idea to open a file to test why it didn't work... so I try and it says that it's a codec problem... I instal K lite codec and now a lot of file work but not all... maybe some codec are missing? I install the mega full plus whatever version to have all but I could miss something...

Thank you ^^

Having K-lite installed with Sound Forge and/or Vegas is not a good idea.

As I stated.. post a MediaInfo report and/or one of the files on a file sharing site.

Many folks use HandBrake to transcode files to a compatible format for SF and Vegas.

@GraphiPerso

If you cannot post the actual file then please do what @rraud requested, and post the results of the Text view of the MediaInfo utility (link in Rick's post above) so that we can see exactly what codecs etc. were involved in its creation.

To be clear: go to the site that the link leads to, download and install MediaInfo, point it to one of the files that creates a problem, copy and paste the results from the Text view here.
