I purchased and registered Music Maker 2014 in 2014. It has worked fine since, until about a month ago, it wouldn't start. It freezes on the splashscreen, at the point where it says "registering additional modules". I later discovered that under the splashscreen was a message: "error loading AudioVis.dll".

I've researched this at the Magix website, and google in general. I've found that I'm not the only one to experience this problem. However, I have yet to find a solution.

I've done the following, all to no avail: tried the "repair" function from the MM2014 disc; uninstalled and reinstalled MM2014; uninstalled, used 3rd party software to clean up orphaned files and registry entries, then reinstalled; manually registered "AudioVis.dll" in my registry. Still getting same results.

My specs: Win XP, SP3, Pentium 4 2.66 GHz, 1.25 GB RAM, on IBM NetVista.

If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
