Hi.

ntdll.dll is a "core" Windows file, so I suspect the Error Message suggests there is a problem with some part of your OS installation.

I rather think, therefore, you may need to repair your Windows installation; is it Vista or Windows 7, by the way?

Try repairing your essential files using sfc /scannow. If unfamiliar with that tool see details at link below.

@khushbu-k8193 and @terrypin

I think you may have not realised the OP started this thread nearly 7 years ago, and the previous reply was from November, 2011.

However, I would especially commend Terry's suggestion of using the "sfc /scannow" method of having Windows check its own file system to ensure no corruption, in both Win 7 and Win 10.

In addition this post to the answers.microsoft.com web forum offers a potentially more comprehensive route to fully checking, and repairing, any Windows 10 installation. (The initial point in that post about creating/mounting an .iso image of Win 10 is necessary only if the checks under point "3" throw up any major problems. The use of the "dism" facility is extremely useful, IMO.)

You're right, Jeff, my reaction times are clearly getting slower!
