Error in module "MX3d_PresentationLayer_x64.dll"

Nestea wrote on 3/6/2021, 2:23 PM

I've just been editing like usual. And I've been using my Magix Movie Edit Pro constantly. Then all of a sudden, when I'm editing different footages from different people, I keep getting this error message. And it bugs me that it appeared out of nowhere when I basically use Magix weekly. I have a feeling that it might have something to do with the video formats of some of the clips. But I already converted them to mp4's so I really don't know what the problem is anymore. Please help me, I need to export this by tomorrow. :'(

I believe I'm using the updated 2021 version. And I'm not sure if I have updated my graphics driver. I don't even know how. :(

Update: I tried changing the video files that seems to stop rendering into a different file format and it just stops rendering on a different clip altogether. So I now tried exporting it into a different format (from mp4 to wmv) and it worked. It rendered the whole movie. So basically my question now is, why can't I export it into mp4? Is it because some of the files are converted from .mov to mp4?

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

You say you are working on a project with files being sent to you by different people and you are converting the files you are using.

So are you converting the files before editing them and why do you need to do this? What formats are they in before conversion? How are you converting them and with what program?

Are all the files a problem or just some? If only some,

Are the problem files being taken on mobile phones?

Do all the files use the same frame rates and resolutions?

We do really need to know your computers full system specs to help you out as well as the current build version of Windows you are using.

Ray.

Hi

. . . . Mx3D_Presentationlayer_x64.dll . . . . I'm editing different footages from different people . . . .

We have seen this issue before - are any of the videos from iPhones ?

As @CubeAce has asked:- How are you converting them and with what program?

. . . . I believe I'm using the updated 2021 version . . . .

What is the version number as found under Help About in the program?

Hi. Yes, most of the videoclips came from iPhones. I use Any Video Converter to convert them and my Magix Movie Edit Pro version is 20.0.1.20 (UDP3) whatever UDP3 means. Haha.

Assuming you have written the correct numbers as you see them under Help>About, the latest version is actually 20.0.1.80.

I've never used that particular file convertor; unfortunately, not all of them are equally reliable! Have you tried the free Handbrake? It is generally recognised as one of the better (= more reliable) ones.

Also, I don't think we've actually established which variant of MEP you have, Basic, Plus or Premium. And it would be useful to we fellow-users if you could answer the question about the exact version and build of Win 10 which you have.

@Nestea

Hi

As @emmrecs has commented you are missing several patches the latest on of which fixes some issues with iPhone files.

Using Handbrake you need to set the following settings:

Use 30fps if you are in Canada or the US, 25 fps if in Europe or where the TV standard is PAL
