Error code -24?

Hello,
I have just installed Movie Studio Platinum 2023. I installed the program from the DVD, and I am running the latest version of Windows 11. Upon trying to open one of my old Movie Studio 15 projects, I got a message that I had to download the mp4 codec. However, when I tried to download it, it gave me error code -24. I installed Movie Studio Platinum 2023 with a different email address than I installed 15 with, as I no longer have access to the old one and did not think it would cause any issues. I checked my serial number's status, and my email is the only one it is activated on. How can I fix this?

Hi

Contact Magix by email to infoservice@magix.net asking them to merge the old registration to your new email address.

I assume you are aware that Movie Studio 2023 is a different program to Vegas Movie Studio (VMS) 15 which Vegas Creative Software stopped further development to concentrate on Vegas Pro in July 2021.

Do note that projects from VMS 15 import only with the basic edits, effects etc will not be imported.

There is a list of tutorials to help with familiarisation of the product here if needed. Some were created on the Movie Edit Pro which is now Magix Movie Studio, the principles are tha same, the major difference is in the Size Position and rotaion effect for which there is a new tutorial here.
