Error 100

I'm receiving this error which is caused, I understand, by a duff VST in my folder. I ignored it for a while but as
I am adding new VSTs I want to note if they produce the same fault. Does anyone know how I can find which VST is producing the fault or how I might correct it please? I'm using Samplitude studio (17 I think) - windows 7.

I've discovered this doesn't happen on the 32 bit version.
