EQ'ing audio in a .mov file

Sanford-Eisman wrote on 7/27/2023, 9:58 AM

I have  a .mov file I recorded with my camcorder. My camera came with Magix Video Easy SE. Is it possible with this software to loop a section of audio and EQ it?. Each song I'd have to loop and EQ individually. Afterwards I'll need to save or export the .mov with the EQ changes. If this software cannot perform this function can anyone advise me of another software that can or what alternative method I can use to accomplish this? Thanks

@Sanford-Eisman

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

Sorry no-one has got back to you yet. The people hear that tend to answer such questions don't as a rule use Video Easy including myself as it is a very basic editing package. After downloading the manual for Video Easy I would say this is not possible, although most full video editors should be be able to do that although the power of the computer needed to run such a program may need to be more powerful to cope with the larger programs capabilities.

Within Magix Movie Studio for instance you could alter the sound of each clip individually with a basic graphic equalizer, Compressor, etc with the tools provided within the program or use multiple tracks and allow layering of both audio and video clips and adjust each audio track with the programs audio mixer that has similar control over the audio of each track.

Do make sure that whichever full video editing package you choose that your hardware will cope with the demands of the program. Possibly it would be wise to download a trail version of any program you would consider using before a purchase.

Ray.
