end scene ?

Such a basic question....How the heck do you end the video in time line ?  Also tagged the end of the video with a caption and it was the only part that did not upload???The caption at the start worked good. Is it because I did'nt end Scene and if it is where the heck do I end the scene??? The time line just keeps on going at the end of the video. Sorry I'am new to this program but I just can't seem to find a stop or end the movie key...I have Movie Edit Pro 2013.

fred,

Two things to check: First is the zoom controls at the bottom right of the editing window including a double headed arrow icon like <==>. It zooms to show your entire project in effect setting the playback markers to the start and to the end. Second is to note the 'Export only selected range' tick box on the export window.

If these are not in sync you can not only loose part of your project during export (range too short) but also introduce a blank black section at the end of you film if the range is too long. At the top of the timelines are bars to show current ranges.

This shows a range set too long.

Regards,

Carl

Hi

And if you have to much blank timeline after the last object on the timeline - to get rid of the unwanted blank space see below:

Then select Edit, Edit Range, Delete
