End of online purchase window did not close/terminate to show success

After my input of the online purchase data entry and at the screen where direction is given: ‘do not press back or refresh’, the active process icon (moving slanted lines) continued on the screen and did not provide an indication that the purchase process successfully completed. I waited twenty minutes then checked with my financial institution and the credit card purchase had been approved. The lines still indicated incomplete process. I checked my email and had received the acknowledgment and download information. The lines continued to show purchase process still active. After thirty minutes I logged out of the online purchase screen.

It appears as if there is a glitch in the software that indicates to a customer the the online purchase has successfully completed.
