Hi

Select the clip. Shortcut - that's the minus key. Select the effect(s) from the list of applied effects.

Select the other 200 shots. Shortcut Shift+- that is hold down Shift and hit the minus key.

Done.

Thanks..plus I see what I was doing wrong. Believe it or not I still use the best video software Microsoft ever wrote...Move Maker..I am surprised it still works in Win 10. But I am trying to learn the newer stuff too. I always liked the function that allowed you to basically randomly apply all the animation effects to all the shots at the same time, then go in and change a few. Again thanks....
