I've imported avi from my Nikon D90 camera to Edit Pro 15 Plus but when I play, I can only hear the sound but not see the video. All other players can see and hear.
It would appear that this cameras video has been causing problems for other video editting software as well because it records in a non standard mpg format put inside the avi container file.
I would try the following:
1. Install any software that came with the camera, this may put the correct video codec onto your computer or a downloader/converter software to extract the video from the camera files.
2. Analyse a video clip from the camera using GSpot, then click the blue buttons under MS/AV at the bottom left of the GSpot window - this will tell you if the codecs are installed and the video and audio can be rendered.
3. Try using Super to convert the video to a standard format.
4. Go onto the Nikon website and see if they have produced anything to fix this problem as it has been known about since this camera was released Aug 2008.
Just an update on this. I did try these methods without luck. I actually have found that I can't see any videos. I have reloaded the software and updates without any success.
