I have "stereo" audio...but it is really two presenters recorded together...and I need to eventually condense it to mono audio... Is there an easy way to swap the left & right channels of a selection on the timeline...
@Paul-Crawford2320 Make a selection, then go to Process > Channel Converter, you can select the preset [Sys] Stereo to Stereo - Swap Channels or even select a Stereo to Mono preset or create your own.
In both Sound Forge Pro and Audio Studio, to combine the stereo left/right channels to a single-channel mono file, right-click "Stereo" on the status bar (at the right-bottom of the timeline screen), and select 1. (Mono), there you can choose: Left, Right or Both. Then 'Save' ... or 'Save as' with an appended file name to preserve the original file.
In SF Audio Studio, to swap (transverse) the channels(left to right <> right to left), select Swap channels in the Process menu. In SF Pro, all of the above can be done in the 'Process> Channel converter" tool.
This can also can be done SF Pro's 'Batch converter' tool, if you have multiple files. that need the same process.
thank you SP... that did work...although my version gave me an erroneous popup message saying it would flip the entire file regardless of the selection...but thankfully it was wrong :)
