DVD to start playing automatically when put into either a DVD player or DVD Drive

Good day.

I have done a semi-thorough search of the forum, so if I am asking a question already asked please accept my humble apologises and pls point me in the right direction.

I am putting together a DVD for a friend of mine for his organisation and wish to add some adverts before the main feature.  This means I want the DVD to start playing once entered into a DVD player/DVD drive and to act just like a DVD from the 'big boys'.

Can anyone help me with how to do this in MEP 17 Plus please?

Regards.

Hi

You have several options - see this image of the Menu page in Edit mode:

Option 1     Add an pre-prepared intro film (ie your adverts) and check the do not skip box if required.

Option 2    Add an pre-prepared intro film (ie your adverts) and disable the menu system completely

Option 3    Add an pre-prepared intro film (ie your adverts) to the menu so it plays continuosly in a loop and then you have to press play to start the movie.

Or any combination of the above

John

Presumably the OP lost interest, or solved the problem and didn't bother to tell us.

Greetings again.  To Terrypin & johnebaker especially, please accept my apologises for not responding to your replies.  Have recently been 'offline' due to other committments so have yet to apply your expert advice.  Hopefully resuming with the project next week, so will definately update you then.

Excuse my lack of forum protocol.
