DVD Menu Screen doesn't show intro movie?

I'm trying to burn a dvd with a menu screen which plays a video on loop.So in burning section i choose a video in display options and it asks which video i want to use i choose other video and select my meny vid i made in wmv, it asks if i want to use it's soundtrack and i select yes and play on a loop and i select animated buttons.

I also then preveiw it and it looks fine but once its burned it is just black on the menu screen apart from the play button and chapter button navigation buttons.Any ideas?

Can you provide us with more information - please read this post and come back with more details.

Also use GSpot or MediaInfo to analyse the wmv file and post the results back here so we can see if there are any potential problems with the wmv file.

Also try converting the wmv file to an mpg and use this for the DVD menu - you can do this in MEP by starting a new project, put the wmv file on the timeline and select File, Export movie, Video as mpeg movie and set the standard DVD option you require (NTSC or PAL)
