DVD menu items disappear when removing default button.

Hello,

I'm running into an issue when editing a disc menu in MAGIX Movie Edit Pro MX Plus, version 11.0.6.4.

I start by selecting one of the templates, "Blue Blocks" in the "Static HD" category, for example.

There are three items on the film menu:

1) Text containing the title of my project

2) A button containing an image from the video and the word 'Play' below it which, when clicked, plays the video.

3) A small icon which, when clicked, takes me to the chapter menu.

I wish to replace #2 with a button containing only text.

I tried to edit the properties of #2 to remove the image, but that does not seem to be an option.

Then, I created a new button with only text, but when I attempted to delete #2, the contents of my new button and the title text disappear along with #2, although the boxes showing their boundaries remain.

Am I doing something incorrectly or is this a bug?

Thanks!

P.S. My computer is an Intel Core i5-6400 with 8GB of RAM running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Professional.

Hi

Do the following to get rid of the image and leave text. The oldest version I have on my laptop is MEP 2013 however IIRC MX is the same.

Click the DVD menu edit tab and uncheck the options shown below

Then double click the remaining text object and edit it as required.

Note: if you do not want the images on the chapter page as well, you have to repeat the above when editing the chapter page.

Thanks very much, John!

Using your instructions, I was able to remove the image from the 'Play' button in the film menu, but keep the images on the buttons in the chapter menu, which is what I had hoped to do.

I do believe that my installation of MEP may have some issues.

When I was modifying the 'Play' button on the film menu, the border around the button, which only appears on the 'Edit' screen, would grow larger when I moved the button or, if I resized the button smaller horizontally, at some point it would start to grow vertically, right off the bottom of the menu page! MEP actually crashed while I was attempting to re-position the button on the menu page:
