DVD burner no longer recognized by other burning software

Ever since I installed PhotoStory 7, my DVD burner is not recognized by any other burning software. Photo Story is now the only software that can burn. How do I get the burner back to being reconized by all the software? I'm using Windows XP. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

This is possibly related to a side effect that can occur when installing the program for restricted users. All you need to do in order to revert this effect again is to amend a specific setting in your Windows registry file. You can do that manually in regedit, if you know what key to change, but Magix is also providing a simple fix that just takes a few mouse clicks. Download an unzip the following file:

http://download.magix.net/windows_2000_xp_registry_fix_uk.zip

You will find two little registry fixes in there. Just apply the activation fix by double-clicking it. Admin rights and a system restart are required. This should resolve the issue.
