DVD Architect 6.0 Crashes, Magix offers no support, can't get 7.0 key

Starting a few weeks ago, my DVD Architect 6.0 crashes instantly upon startup. A reinstall did not solve this problem. I found a installation package for version 7.0 and installed it. The 30 day trial ends in a week.

I contacted Magix and:

1) They refuse to help me solve the 6.0 crash.

2) They say they no longer sell DVD Architect 7.0 and refuse to sell/give a product key for it.

Since Magix is completely unhelpful and doesn't support their old software anymore, does anyone have a product key that I can use for version 7.0?

@Michael-Gyori

DVD Architect is part of the Magix Vegas line of products, which have a dedicated forum here. I would suggest you register at and repost there, as you were advised to do in your similar post here. Please do not create duplicate posts.

I was not aware that DVD Architect 7 was no longer available. However, for any existing user of it to sell or give you a serial key for it would be against their licence which they accepted when purchasing. However, I did find it available to buy as a download on this Amazon page, although it does say it is available only to customers in the USA.

However, although I do have DVD Architect 7 running on my Win 10 computer, I also have DVD Architect 5 still installed and it runs without problem! Hence I am very surprised to see that you seem to think that version 6 will not run under that OS.

Do you still have the installer and activation key for version 6? If so, you should consider a total uninstall, using something like the free Revo Uninstaller, to ensure the old installation is completely cleared (just make sure you carefully follow the on-screen instructions when running the app and check carefully everything it tells you it is going to remove before you click to accept its suggestions, especially if you have other Magix software installed). Once it has finished its work I would then reboot the computer and reinstall your version of DVD Architect.

Thanks Jeff. I had forgotten that I'd already inquired about this earlier. I will try using the Revo Uninstaller.... miss the days when software used to properly uninstall (or was that ever the case?). I was thinking that some Microsoft Distributable had changed with a recent update that broke DVD Architect 6.0.... but maybe the installation and anything left behind by a normal uninstall is broken.
