Dual Layer DVD needs to be in device to create movie/Disc Image

i came across this inconvenience.

if you want to burn a Dual Layer DVD or an Disc Image (the Disc Image i did) a DL disc must be in my burner, if not only a single 4 GB allowed and the adjusting to fit options was restricted the Standard or Long Play (and TV systems) but when a DL DVD was inserted the adjustments could be performed and then the Image Disc could be created.

* not sure but i think i did it eject the disc not long after the Disc Image started (and was successful).

unless i didn't see an option which took into accounted for a DL disc.

@mark-perry

I've not tested this recently on MEP but I do regularly create D/L disc images in VPX, without having a disc in the burner.

When the message appears stating that the project is too big to fit on a disc, I simply click "Ignore" (certainly NOT "Adjust" or "Split" or whatever) and the image is correctly created! Have you tried doing that? (Since the burning software is the same for both MEP and VPX I'm assuming the option is available for you.)

For memory i think I did that first time without a disc and found it did a 4 hour length on a 4 gb dvd (guess the quality) that's why next time i did insert a disc and then it worked as a DL disc.
