The manual says you can drag and drop wav files from explorer into synths like Loop Designer, BeatBox 2 and Vita Sampler. I'm using Samplitude Music Studio 2016 and this does not seem to be the case. Nothing happens when I try to drop a wav file into any of the above mentioned synths.

I have Music maker 2016 and can get the Beatbox 2 and Vita Sampler to work with wav files as shown below, however the Loop Designer does not appear to load the wav file.
Note: the wav file must be dragged to the circled part of the dialog and the beat pattern set in the right pane
The one requirement that AFAICS is required, is that there must no or very little silence at the start of the wav file - the original file I used had 2 secs of silence at the start and did not work.
I cut the start to have <1/4 sec of silence and the effect then worked OK.
