Hi, when I try to run moviestudio2023platinum_dlm_geu7q2.exe I get the following error message:

A blank screen with a black exclamation mark on a yellow triangle. I'm not sure what this could mean.

Please help.

I am trying to install MAGIX Movie Studio 2023 Platinum onto an older laptop that I have upgraded. I have replaced the RAM modules and changed the Hard Drive from an HDD to an SSD, as I've been experiencing problems with the new laptop I bought - I was running into memory problems, but I couldn't upgrade that one. So the one that was upgraded used to have an older VEGAS MOVIE STUDIO which I have cloned to the new SSD, but that didn't work. Then I realized when I went into my account that I could install 2023 on two devices

The only problem is that I get the above error message when I try and install the program. I have tried several things but nothing works.

I was reading a few other blog posts about this issue and it turns out this is a general problem. I found the solution! I had to disconnect from the remote WiFi Router and plug the data cable into my laptop. This worked. Problem solved.

My excitement was short-lived. I managed to get the installer to run, only to realise that it stops somewhere. I then tried to disable my Windows firewall, but that didn't work. I then moved my laptop closer to the main WiFi connection, and also disabled the domain network firewall and made sure I could disable as much as possible that contained the word firewall. I even uninstalled my anti-virus program. I also then went to the place where you can allow apps through the firewall and ticked every box on that there is. I went into MS Config and did a normal startup. It seems to be working now. I had to select 'continue' multiple times. I'm holding thumbs to see if the installation completes all the way to the end. So far it is halfway through.
