Hi.

All Magix programs now seem to require the use of the Download Installer, so whether Magix Support can offer you a direct download I don't know, you need to ask!

However, of more concern is the fact that you say the Download Installer doesn't work on your laptop. Can you give us more details about exactly what happens when you attempt to run the program? Also, please tell us a lot more about your actual computer (hardware) and operating system. With this additional information we may have some suggestions to help you installing the program.

I recently purchased download version of Vegas Pro 15, VEGAS DVD Architect, NewBlue FX Filters 5 Ultimate,
HitFilm Movie Essentials, and Music Maker. I have Serial Numbers for all programs except Music Maker. How do I find the SN for Music Maker?

@oneartist welcome to the Magix forums.

This thread is about problems with the Magix Download Installer. Unfortunately, your post is about a completely different problem, the apparent lack of a serial number for your installation of Music Maker.

To ask an irrelevant question in an already existing thread is often described as hijacking; please do not do this, but rather start a new thread with your question.

Hi there,

Here's a direct link for the current version of Music Maker, just in case you're having any problems downloading through the download manager, or for back-up purposes:

http://dl04.magix.net/2017/MusicMaker25/Music_Maker_25_Free_INT_170720_12-16.exe

(Keep in mind that, with the new Music Maker concept, the base installer for any edition you buy is the same, and will accept the serial number you received. Don't get confused by the fact that it says "free" in the URL.)

Please note that the link above might expire and become dysfunctional at any point in time when the Music Maker installer is updated on the server. The official download manager URL you received will always stay the same, and will always provide you with the most recent version of your product available on the server. So, these are the reasons why you should prefer to use the download manager (unless technical issues prevent you from doing so).

I hope this helps!

Did you see my post above your most recent one? That should hopefully be what you're looking for.

If you actually want to troubleshoot the root cause of why the download manager doesn't seem to work correctly on your computer, that might be a bit more tricky. Possibly, it's being blocked in its online connectivity, which in turn might be a result of settings in the Internet Explorer API, which it is piggybacking on. You may need to manually adjust something in the Windows/IE Internet settings. Please go to the system's Control Panel and proceed to "Internet Options". Switch to the "Advanced" tab and find the "Security" section in the long list of checkboxes. Among other things you will find entries for the different Internet communication protocols here. Please check whether the options TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 are ticked. If that is not the case, please enable/tick these options and confirm your settings. Now try again, and see whether the download manager can connect to our servers and download the installer now.

Beyond that, it might also be something specific to how you connect to the Internet locally (firewalls, proxies etc.), which would be a bit harder to troubleshoot from here. I'd suggest you simply use the direct link above in that case.

Good luck!
