@kevyn-clark No, just log in with your user account. You can enter your 2018 serial number under Help > Music Maker Store > Redeem credit... This will reactivate all your 2018 features except the Song Maker which was remade and is a new purchase. But if you never used it, you don't need to care about it. After reactivation just download your features from the store.

@kevyn-clark Can you make some Screenshots please? Are you logged in?

Hi

. . . .  it upgraded at least 7 times to "64 bit" version and it has downgraded extensively . . . . is telling me I have 2019 Premium . . . .

What is the version number under Help, About - if it is 29.0.x.xx you are running MMM 2021 on the MMM 2019 licence which means you are running as the free version of 2021.

For a solution see this comment.

Should I delete it and re install the 2018 Premium version?

You should reinstall the 2019 version. When the "upgrade" happens you have a choice to replace or add the new version. In the new version you should be able to add the stuff you have in the 2019 version but it's not really an upgrade and the way it is presented by Magix is not wonderful. You can do this anytime as I have done. This at least gives time to check out the new version. But it is just the free version, with no need to put in a serial number, with the features from 2019 added. For full functionality you still have to either add a few features from the shop or buy the new version. For instance I did get the vst bridge.

@Graham-Hawker

Basically, the program is telling me I have 2019 Premium but when I attempt to use a "premium" add on or function it says I have to upgrade because I have a free version.

The screenshots look fine to me. You need to select the store tab on the right side of the screen and just download the features you need. Many of the features should be free because you already bought them with the premium version 2019.

@kevyn-clark Magix changed somethig with the shop in the last update. It is a good idea to go into the program settings and click on the button to clean up the store. This can help you with the log in process.

Hi

Please do not post images or text containing your serial numbers, email address or any other confidential information.

What is the version number as found under Help, About?

@kevyn-clark

Why did you go and reinstall the program? There was no reason to do so and you risked making things worse.

Remove your 2 images - you show your serial number. Never show confidential information on a public forum.

You had MMM2021 installed and you were logged in. Now you say that you can't log in because you reinstalled..

Now we don't know what you have. What exactly do you have installed? See under Help, About.

To be clear, Music Maker is free. The versions are 2019, 2020 and 2021 (each has a different version that you can see under Help, About). There is only one MMM program to be installed. There is no separate program for Plus or Premium.

When you upgraded to 2021 or when you do so, indicate that you want to keep the previous version.

After installing 2021, there will be a message that a patch is available. Install it.

Plus and Premium are Editions not Versions of Music Maker. All they do is activate features, presets, instruments and give you credits for some instruments and Soundpools.

If your serial number has already been activated for an Edition, don't try doing it again. You showed in the MMM2021 version that your 2019 Premium edition was already activated.

Because MMM2021 is a new 64 bit version, the instruments and most plugins have to be updated. To do that, all that you had to do was to make sure that were logged in (you were) and then click on Downloads at the upper right of the Media Pool and download and install everything.

Once done, you go to Loops, click on the parameter gear, and Add the Soundpools - the path to the top folder is usually enough.

This new version has new features that are only available by purchasing them individually through the Store or by getting a Plus or Premium Edition. See the comparison table on the Magix.com website. Everything that is indicated as new, you probably don't have.

The only things lost are the ability to use 32 bit VST's and Song Maker. For the former, you can purchase the 32 bit bridge, or just update all third party VST's to a 64 bit version and give the new path to the VST's. For Song Maker, it has been revamped and now comes with a bunch of templates for different categories, styles and tempos.

So please, come back and tell exactly what the status is.

@kevyn-clark

The image on the right below is what came up during installation of MMM2021 and you did install 2021 because you posted an image of it.

Again, what do you have installed now? When you get into the program, what do you see under Help, About. You don't need to be logged in to see this. If it shows 29.0.something, then you have MMM2021.

The latest patch is 29.0.6.36.

Thanks for the comments and help everyone. MMM has been deleted for now. Queries have been sent to Magix.
