Double notes in midi

I am trying to record a vsti. I hear the correct vsti (Independence) but I also hear a piano note a half second later. If I have no vsti selected on a new track (no effect), I still hear the ghost piano note on the selected track. It is not coming from any other track. What can this be? It does not record but its very distracting and throws off my feel.

I have one midi controller connected via midi cable to my audio interface. I have no usb cable connected from the controller. This controller is selected in Preferences.

Well, for some reason, it began working. Must be something buggy because I didnt do anything.

Hi,

There is a problem something like this in MusicMaker. After playing back a MIDI recording, stopping, about a second later there are a few more ghost notes played that sound like the last ones in the file. I hope this isn't also in Samplitude.
